Cultural Living Skills & Self-Esteem Workshops
A two day Indigenous Living Skills Program that takes the participant on a journey. Looking at their identity, the importance of having ownership of self, the environment and her people.
Exploring Aboriginal Spirituality and connecting with the power within.
This two-day workshop offers the participant a fun, enriching and hands-on opportunity to explore, revisit, seek their cultural roots, build self-esteem through a skills based process, thus, enabling them to see the importance of it in their lives.
(Day one) Exploring components of: Importance of Mother Earth, building community, creating a cultural focus area, Why is it important to be 'proud to be Aboriginal'?, song, dance, storytelling, Art, Ceremonies, learning styles.
(Day two) Resilience building activities (e.g.) - anger management, anti bullying techniques, goal setting, making positive choices.
Small groups, which are all age appropriate. Two facilitators per group.
Bookings are essential for this empowering journey of cultural awareness.
